As Red Banyan Group reported earlier this week, boxing legend Mike Tyson held a candid call with members of the media on Monday about his world debut as a professional boxing promoter.

While he won’t be lacing up his own gloves, Iron Mike’s fighters will take part in a series of match ups this Friday, August 23 at Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center in New York.  The bouts will air live on the 2013 finale of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.  Turning Stone, whose upstate location is near the International Boxing Hall of Fame, has in recent years emerged as one of the nation’s premier destinations for boxing and other sporting events.

With the fights at Turning Stone still days away, the former heavyweight world champion has already generated headlines in major national publications, including Newsday, Boston.com, The Washington Post, New York Daily News, Chicago Sun-Times, and many more.
