Kenny Ames possesses a unique background that spans nearly 20 years in public service, advocacy, the media, business development, marketing, and communications. As an experienced advocate for the client, he is passionate about bringing people and ideas together, solving complex problems, and exceeding expectations.
In his role as Director of Client Relations, Kenny is responsible for driving engagement with Red Banyan’s clients and developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and prospects. He also provides strategic counsel to clients and executes integrated PR initiatives. Throughout his career, his clients have included some of the most demanding and challenging constituencies, and Kenny takes great pride in setting up clients for success.
Prior to joining Red Banyan, Kenny served as the director of business development for a government contractor where he led the company’s growth, coached and mentored his team, and built and maintained relationships with key prospects, clients, and partners. Previously, he worked for a large media organization and collaborated with clients to advise them on winning strategies for advancing their agendas. Kenny started his career on Capitol Hill as an adviser to senior members of the House of Representatives.
Outside of his professional duties, Kenny serves as a mentor, sits on the board of a government affairs network, is an accomplished Toastmaster and public speaker, and is an active alumnus of The George Washington University, where he received his B.A. in English and minor in creative writing, and Johns Hopkins University, where he received his M.A. in government with a concentration in political communications. He is also an avid marathon runner.
