Red Banyan was founded by Evan Nierman, a communications strategist with high-level experience counseling political and government leaders, corporations, high-profile individuals and non-profit organizations.
Immediately before founding his own public relations consulting firm, Evan Nierman was Director of Communications and Online Marketing for a rapidly-growing start-up company called Green Bullion Financial Services. In that role, Nierman developed all communications strategy for the company, including its flagship brand Cash4Gold.com. Nierman built out an appropriate team of in-house talent and vendors including public relations and advertising agencies, search engine optimization firms and affiliate marketers. Nierman oversaw all media interactions on behalf of the company, serving as the point person for every reporter inquiry, and preparing the CEO for media appearances.
When the company began expanding to European markets including the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada, Evan Nierman was responsible for all aspects of public relations, including hiring and managing foreign PR firms based in the expansion countries. He worked with those PR agencies to position the company’s brand, carry out launch activities, alert the news media to the company’s revolutionary business model and services and respond to all interview requests.
Immediately before taking on that role, Nierman launched the Washington, D.C. office of a boutique PR agency specializing in crisis management. The firm’s clients included companies, high-profile private individuals and foreign governments. Nierman was responsible for day-to-day management of some of the company’s most demanding accounts, handling highly sensitive situations with consummate discretion.
Earlier in his career, Evan Nierman spent more than seven years at the headquarters of one of Washington’s most influential and effective advocacy organizations—the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The five-person communications department he joined grew steadily, and numbered more than 12 when he made the decision to leave the world of policy behind and enter the business arena.
Through the years, Evan Nierman has continued to maintain a strong foothold in Washington. Clients benefit from his deep experience and strong network of contacts.
