Banyan Group Account Executive

This could be part-time or full-time depending upon the candidate’s ability.

Qualifications:

-At least three years of prior experience in public relations, journalism, media relations, strategic communications or investor relations
-Proven track record of interacting effectively with journalists
-Established network of media contacts, especially in South Florida
-Strong writer able to produce a wide variety of material in different styles
-Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently
-Professional, results-oriented, and capable of working with minimal oversight

Responsibilities:

-Pitch stories to local and national press outlets
-Assist journalists by being highly responsive and providing relevant information
-Draft press releases related to a variety of industries
-Write an assortment of communications collateral
-Participate in new business processes including research, proposals, and pitch presentations
-Take part in weekly strategy-oriented conference calls
-Develop internal marketing materials
-Provide on-site media relations support when required
