Red Banyan Founder and Principal Evan Nierman Invited to Lecture at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs

Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 07, 2016 – Top public relations firm Red Banyan announced today that its founder Evan Nierman was a recent guest lecturer at The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. An expert in crisis communications, Nierman gladly accepted the invitation to return to his alma mater to speak to students.

The topic of Nierman’s presentation was “Crisis in the Age of Social Media.” He discussed the hyper-connected, modern-day media landscape and how this evolution has changed the way companies and organizations must operate. He also gave poignant examples of crises that brands have faced, and offered best practices for managing a crisis.

Much of the talk focused on analyzing case studies illustrating how social media had created crises for companies, and also how it had been used effectively to help resolve difficult situations.

Following his presentation, Nierman answered questions from the students.

“It was an absolute pleasure to return to The George Washington University to speak with students about the fields of crisis management and strategic communications,” said Nierman. “When I attended GW, one of the most valuable aspects was learning from and interacting with practitioners who could provide real-world examples of how to apply various concepts and communication theories. I know from my own personal experience that George Washington is an outstanding school, and its world-class faculty and location in the heart of D.C. provide unparalleled career opportunities to its students.”
